When AI is (and isn't) involved

When we first created the Creative Law Foundry™, it was designed to give creatives the tools they needed to customize their contracts themselves.

But we realized something important — the tools alone aren’t enough if you don’t have the education to understand them.

So, last month, we added our entire education library to every Creative Law Foundry™ membership.

Then, we took it a step further by adding contract credits too.

Because the real power comes when you have both:
👉 the knowledge to know what you need, and
👉 the contracts and tools to put that knowledge into action.

Whether you’re onboarding clients, protecting your content, or hiring help, you shouldn’t have to figure it out on your own.

The Creative Law Foundry™ bridges the gap between why and how, because no one has time for guessing when it comes to protecting your business.

See how the Creative Law Foundry™ works.

Two Minute Tip: Don't let AI write your contract

AI is amazing. But when it comes to legal protection, “amazing” doesn’t always mean “accurate.” Just ask Anthropic.

Earlier this year, one of Anthropic’s own lawyers had to apologize in court after their AI tool, Claude, generated a completely fake legal citation... and the attorney used it. The judge caught it. The citation? A hallucination. Totally made up. [Read the story here.]

These hallucinations happen all the time, because AI is designed to predict what a human might say next, not to provide the facts.

We’re sharing it because it proves something we’ve been saying since day one:

AI can be a powerful tool but it’s not a replacement for a real contract, written by a practicing attorney.

And definitely not something you should blindly trust to protect your business.

Wait... doesn’t the Creative Law Foundry™ use AI?

Yep, we sure do. Here is when we do, and don't use AI in our platform:

  • AI doesn’t write your contract. Every word of every contract in the Creative Law Foundry™ was written by attorney Paige Hulse, who has stood before a judge defending these contracts. That’s not something any AI model (or ChatGPT prompt) can promise.

  • Our Contract Builder = lawyer-drafted language, crafted with triggers and automation. Think of this as a massive (400+ step) workflow. Each answer you provide 'triggers' a piece of your contract. No AI needed.

  • AskLex = your legal guide, not your contract writer. AskLex is our AI-powered legal assistant that helps you understand legal terms, answer quick contract questions, and navigate the law in plain English. It’s like having a translator in your back pocket. But let's be clear, AskLex is not used to write your contract.

One of our Black Friday bonuses is still up for debate. Make your voice heard!

With you for the long run,

- Paige & Teresa

I don't know about you, but I holiday'ed HARD. I needed a true break. A chance to disconnect from work, gain some new perspective. But mostly, a chance to connect with my family and friends. End of Year Legal Audit By far and away, my #1 piece of advice in legally preparing for a new year? If you want things done right, they can't be rushed. Of course, it's hard to plan ahead if you don't know in advance what your business will require, right? Therefore, I hope this Annual Planning Guide will help to clarify & demystify the time clock a bit, so you can plan ahead prudently for the year to come. One thing to note: (aside from IRS rules), there are few legal requirements with a...

We’ve been working on an update that makes it easier than ever to build a solid legal foundation. Creative Law Foundry™ memberships now include contracts! Previously, contract templates and memberships were two separate tools that worked together. You had to figure out which contract you needed first — and only then could you join the Foundry™ to learn how to use it. Now, you can join the Foundry™, head to the Education Library to learn what you need, use your contract credits to redeem the...
